the composer
Viktor Ingi Guðmundsson is an award-winning Icelandic composer, best known for his original score for the 2025 video game Echoes of the End. His music blends sweeping cinematic soundscapes with deep roots in Icelandic musical traditions, creating sonic worlds that are both emotionally rich and culturally resonant.
Viktor studied composition at the Iceland Academy of the Arts before earning his Master of Music in Scoring for Film, Television & Video Games from Berklee College of Music in Valencia, Spain, graduating Magna Cum Laude and receiving a Peer Recognition Award.
In addition to Echoes of the End, his credits include award-winning short films such as The Roots of You and Adela, as well as sound design for the TV series Kappsmál. He has also collaborated closely with Icelandic composer Veigar Margeirsson as a composer’s assistant on international projects.
